Solving the World's Problems

Brilliant idea #1 (i am sure there will be more to come)

Outsource to the British (or perhaps the Irish....they have a cute accent too!)

I get calls all the time at work from people who barely speak broken English wanting me to buy this, update that, or survey me. First, don't call me if you don't speak the language of the country you are calling. Second, don't argue with me.....it just ticks me off.

Example: Some chic calls me today wanting me to update our information for something.....I can't understand what. I ask her to clarify why she is calling. She's either being vague b/c it's a scam or b/c she is stupid.....I'm not sure which. After a couple of minutes I think I finally understand why she is calling me, but we are not interested in her services. To which she replies, "Ok. I call back later." My blood starts to boil.

Me: "No. you NO call back later. Me NOT interested."

Her: "ok"

I still don't think she understands that me no interested. she call back later and tick me off.

Why oh why dear American companies.....if we must outsource why can we not screen people's language skills. Is this too much to ask???

Think about it.....if they got people that had cute British or Irish accents wouldn't you just be dying to call your credit card company to ask about the latest programs they have that will take advantage of you? Seriously, the world would be a better place.

Totally with you on this one. I would actually sit through a presentation, even if I wasn't interested in the product, if the guy had a sexy British accent.
