Welcome new stalkers/27 weeks/Father's Day

Alright....we have lots of ground to cover:

First, I would like to welcome some new military wife followers to our blog.  If there is anything I have learned (in the my whole 5 months of military experience) it is that the wives have got to stick together.  I don't know what I would do without my new girlfriends that keep me company when Zach has late nights, a week in the field, or he just has to go to bed before the sun goes down because he has worked a 15+ hour day and has to leave for work at 4am the next morning!  If you haven't introduced yourself yet - please leave a comment so I know you're lurking around my corner of the Internet.

We hit the 27 week mark last Sunday.  Zach has been able to feel Daxton move for awhile, but this past week he was able to SEE the little man move.  It kind of freaked Zach out a little.  I went to the doctor this week and the nurse was trying to get his heart rate and he did the same big kicks - she was shocked that he was so strong/active this early!   Here are the 27 week pictures.  I wanted to show off my new maternity bathing suit (Thank You, Target)!  Also, it was Father's day so I wanted Zach to be included in the picture.

This leads me to Father's Day - Zach's first! I wanted to do something really memorable for Zach so I was going to surprise him with new saddle bags for his Harley motorcycle.  I went into the Harley store the week before Father's Day to pick out the perfect (read: not cheap) saddle bags for the daddy-to-be.  Zach's birthday (in April) was kind of skipped due to the move from California to Virginia so this was more of a birthday & Father's Day gift all rolled into one. Plus, Zach drives the motorcycle to work every day and he needed the extra space to take stuff to and from work.  Anywoo....the day his bags were going to be delivered to the store was the morning that Zach's motorcycle broke down.  Go figure!! So, for a week we've been sharing a car (meaning I've been getting up before the sun to take Zach to work)!  It's going to cost a small fortune to fix Zach's motorcycle (it seems like that is always the case when you have vehicle repairs).  Regardless, we still tried to make Father's Day special here.  Zach loves his saddle bags.  I'll be sure to post a pic once we get the darn thing back.  I framed a little daddy poem with a sonogram picture of Daxton, we went to IHOP for breakfast, and spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool.  He's going to be an amazing Father!
