Me: "I dunno."

J: "tell me or I'll stick my toothpick up your nose"

Me: "I threw it on the ground in the parking lot"

(pause)

Me: "you know why I told you so fast?"

J: "No."

Me: "because I believed that you really would shove your toothpick up my nose."
